What do you mean by compatible? There are a lot of interpretations
for "compatible' in the computer world.
Dia can export a useful variety of formats of both vector or image
graphic. From there you can probably do most anything, but maybe not
automated or menu drive within SharePoint. Dia import facility is
more limited, but still useful.
Just rambling on if I say more.
