I thought about this. There are two problems:
1 Python for dia documentation is sparse.
Where do I install scripts?
How do I execute them from within Dia?
What would be a good script to start off with?
2 Would this work on Debian stable with Dia 0.97.1?
I compiled 0.97.2 from source but the confuration reported no
Python support
Configuration:
Source code location: .
Compiler: gcc
Gnome support: no
Python support: no
Libart support (PNG export): yes
Cairo support (PNG, PDF, print): yes
Dia Python bindings with SWIG no
WMF plug-in with libEMF: no
html doc: no
pdf and ps doc: no
I tried to build the Debian packages but the compilation fails at some
point and the maintainers have not replied yet (I doubt they ever will)
I installed the Ubuntu packages from the download site but there is a
naming problem with libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0, and libpython2.7 is not
available on Debian stable
As a result, I do not have Python with my Dia
Thanks
