I don’t believe python plugins are supported on Linux, only on Windows, see 
http://dia-installer.de/howto/python_win32/index.html

Because when I try to install pydia with pip, it comes up with the following 
error message:
No files/directories in /tmp/pip-install-LHY9OJ/pydia/pip-egg-info (from 
PKG-INFO)
