Yes, this is a know bug.

I belive this is a Gtk+ bug, i even talked a bit to owen about it, and he
thought so too, but i haven't heard more about is since then. I don't
really know Gtk+ good enought to find it.
Even though gtk+ 1.1.13 works, i'd recommend you use the stable (and
newer) 1.2.x series. 1.1.13 is a minimum requirement.
