Looks pretty good. The one thing I'm a little hessitant about is if we
really need different sheet syntax for shapes and non-shape objects? The
user shouldn't need to be aware of the difference.

You mean two sheets with the same filename or same name? I think the user
specified sheet should just be placed first. You might miss new features
recently incroduced otherwise.

I think so. The old one for shapes could be recognized too though, but be 
decapricated.
