I think it's a great idea.  This oldie first showed up in MacPaint and 
was widely denigrated for being 'too cute' (but then, so was the 
Mac trash can - until Microslut gave us the 'Recycle Bin' and 'Network 
Neighbourhood' - <retch>).  Personally I love it.
