I deleted /opt/gnome/lib/dia and reinstallated.

The result is unchanged:


 dia

** WARNING **: root element was shape -- expecting shape

** ERROR **: file custom.c: line 159 (custom_object_load): assertion
failed: (info)
aborting...
Abort


When I delete all shapes in /opt/gnome/share/dia, 

then dia is runninng, with this warning:

dia

** WARNING **: root element was text -- expecting sheet

...

and there are no highlevel (UML, Circuit, flowchart) objects to choose
from.
