let me add an idea here: what if Text gets a (optionally visible) boundingbox
which then could contain connection points ?
Something I'm looking for would then be simply solved in making the bounding
box parameters options which I could set in a dialog, namely what margin
around the text to use so that the bbox includes some extra space around the
text and how to draw that bbox.
