This message is for the "possible suggestion" list.

One of my law clerks who touches up some of my drawings wants a
particular feature. Rather, she wants a change to an existing
behavior. Currently, when something is copied (Ctrl-V) the object is
pasted toward the upper left corner of the work area. What my clerk
would like is for the object to be pasted where the mouse cursor is.
Specifically, the top left corner of the pasted object would appear
directly under the mouse cursor. This is assuming, of course, that the
mouse cursor is within the bounds of the work area.

It would save some mouse strokes and make things a little more
predictable. When she found out that I was on the dia-list, her eyes
lit up with the hope that her suggestion might become reality. I
promised to pass on the suggestion and have now done so.

Frankly, I'm satisifed with the current method. Then again, I'm used to
it as it is consistent with many other programs. However, I do think
her suggestion has some merit.

Food for thought...
