ER diagrams; attributes

Hi:

I've just installed Dia 0.84 and am finding the ER diagram tool to be
rather inadequate. Is it just inadequate or have I missed something in the
configuration?

In most ER diagram editors the attributes appear inside the entities... in
Dia it just makes a huge oval... is there any way to change the
configuration or is this just not a mature aspect of the software?
