Subsequently, he was tried and set free for lack of evidence to prove the allegation. Later, he was appointed the sports minister in 1989,but unfortunately, he died on April this year.
On jenuary 8th 2003,MR.GIDEON WILLIAMS, the director, foreign exchange department of the federal ministry of finance, Lagos headquarters, who came back to NIGERIA from his seven (7) months research in INDIA, invited me and on my arrival to his office and revealed to me that my late father,his good friend is having a foreign account in his ministry (foreign department) with total sum of US$34,572,000.00(Thirty four million, five hundred and seventy two thousand United States Dollars) Only.
Now, this very money can not be used or invested here in Nigeria for fear of Government’s probe and seizure and this is why I have picked up the trust and courage to ask you to look for a reliable and honest person who will be capable for this important business transaction, believing that you will never let me down either known or in the future, and if I don’t remit this money out urgently, it would be forfeited for just nothing.And all the documents that will cover this money and prove you as the rightful owner will be obtained in your name and handed over to you before the transer and should be prodced in the case of tax.The fund will also be paid into your account as a contract code payment which was awaeded to in Nigeria here and executed by you.
I am therefore contacting you based on the fact that you are a foreigner because this money can only be approved for payment to foreigners. Moreso,it can not be approved by any local bank here, as this money is in UNITED STATES DOLLARS and this account is foreign one too.
I know that this proposal will come to you as a surprise as we don’t know ourselves before.however,I based my move on trust and God’s directives I suggest we will still have to meet in possibly in ,COTONOU-BENIN REPUBLIC or,AMSTERDAM-HOLLAND to sign some legal agreements before the final transfer of the money into any of your chosen designated bank account and as soon as the transfer is made after our meeting on any of your chosen country above,I will be needing invitation letters from you to enable me gain entry VISA into your country for our own share of the money and the commencement of investments in your country.So please,you help me source for GOODS/PRODUCTS FOR INVESTMENTS.
