E . coli is not a very difficult microorganism to eliminate during the active phase of the composting if this phase well occurred (an increasing of the temperature above 60°C for minimum 4 days). But these microorganisms will not be reduced totally during the anaerobic digestion if this occurred under mesophilic condition.
