Do check out the Non Profit Commons if you are interested in Second Life! The Commons is in the midst of a soft launch - of course there will be a big party once everyone is ready! You can visit by teleporting to the Nonprofit Commons or Plush Nonprofit Commons. Or: http://slurl.com/secondlife/NonProfitCommons/128/128/22/
The Non Profit Commons - a set of virtual offices for nonprofits - is being organized by our friends at TechSoup, on virtual land donated and developed by Anshe Chung Studios. The Commons contains offices with a New Orleans look, along with meeting spaces such as cafe tables and a very nice open air amphitheatre. Nonprofits can apply for free offices by emailing Susan Tenby, [EMAIL PROTECTED] Groups are asked to volunteer in some way, and it helps if your nonprofit already has a Second Life presence, however small. Read more here: http://npsl.wikispaces.com/ Floaters is opening an office, currently somewhat empty as we try to balance a desire to allow each of our technology outreach projects some space while staying within prim limits (border projects, gallery, CTC, Mexico project, meeting spaces!) Our office is #17. To find us from the amphitheatre (where you'll land) face the stage and then take the street that leads off to the left. Floaters is on the far left hand corner, behind the cafe tables. <http://npsl.wikispaces.com/> Sandy Andrews SL: Ozma Malibu [EMAIL PROTECTED] Research and Instruction at Floaters.org Technology Outreach Action Research Group, CTC and Gallery Content Lead and Backup Tenant Contact, NPSL (Non Profits in Second Life) On 5/17/07, [EMAIL PROTECTED] < [EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > you should have gotten a message saying that your avatar's appearance > would be normal to other users, and the lack of clothes would just be on > your end, as it were. > > Andy Carvin > andycarvin at yahoo com > www.andycarvin > > > > -----Original Message----- > > > _______________________________________________ DIGITALDIVIDE mailing list [email protected] http://digitaldivide.net/mailman/listinfo/digitaldivide To unsubscribe, send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word UNSUBSCRIBE in the body of the message.
