The Accessibility Internet Rally (AIR) brings designers, developers,
non-profit groups and the local community together to network in a
social, yet competitive setting to learn about accessibility and make
the Web a more accessible tool for everyone.

AIR events have happened in various communities in the USA, but they
started in Austin, and the next AIR-Austin rally day is October 18.

At AIR-Austin, more than 100 Web professionals (last year, it was
more than 120) team up to create accessible Web sites for Austin-area
non-profits - all in one day of friendly competition.

Teams have come from area corporations (Dell, IBM), government
offices, web design shops and UT, but also, individuals from
different sectors form a team on their own to participate.

-- If you want to form a team, be a part of someone else's team, or
volunteer in some other way,
-- If you want your nonprofit organization in or near Austin to be
one of the beneficiaries of the web designs,
-- If you want to observe this event and will be in the Austin area
-- If you want to learn about past teams, the training teams receive,
the web sites that were developed, etc.
