Presents Youth Media and Technology Literacy Workshop Location: Cada Vez, 1438 "U" Street NW, Washington DC Date: Saturday, October 2, 2004 Time: 10:00 am to 5:15pm The Youth Media and Technology Literacy Workshop encourages youth to explore the impact of media and technology in our society. This workshop will help organizers and youth advocates to learn about neighborhood and project-based curricula and its potential to engage youth on neighborhood issues. We will discuss the importance of collaboration and using community media to strengthen youth civic engagement. Facilitators will engage participants in media literacy about current activities in the city, video basics and hands on video production. Participants will learn about community media resources, youth multimedia organizations public access groups and funding opportunities. Who Should Attend: Youth Serving Organizations, educators and youth leaders.
