There have been news reports of bulletin boards where some of those caught up in the devastation have been able to post messages to say what their situation is.

Does anyone know what the links for this / these are?
Is there an official UN or humanitarian agency site?
Or are these existing sites that are being used?
Or is one going to be set up to avoid duplication?

Even if there are only a few with internet access giving the scale of the destruction, maybe they are able to post messages on behalf of others, as well as being somewhere for relatives anxious for news.

With so many communities here in the UK with relatives in the region it would be good to be able to pass links on.

all of us work for mission-based organizations. You are, therefore,
probably already being asked by volunteers and others how to help
those affected by the devastating tsunamis in South East Asia.

who are interested in
identifying what organizations are working in this region that would
be happy to accept donations to help the people affected by these
tsunamis, and provide extensive updates on relief efforts:
