Hi Phil,
There's a small typo in your link to Ted's profile. Here's the working URL:

hi everyone -
one of the neat things about the Digital Divide Network community is that there are people from all walks of life sharing questions, answers and ideas. some of the talent here on this list is pretty large, i've come to learn. for example, ted nellen was twice chosen as the teacher of the year in the new york public schools.
see http://www.digitaidivide.net/profile/tnellen for further info about ted.
that's a fairly large accomplishment, given that there are 91,390 teachers in the new york public schools. (see "actual headcount" figure at the bottom of http://www.nycenet.edu/Offices/Stats/default.htm)
within our community are rhode scholars and other distinguished persons from the academic field. check out the very interesting work being done by prof. derrick cogburn at syracuse university. http://www.digitaldivide.net/profile/dcogburn
perhaps the most distinguished people on this list are the people who labor without recognition meeting important community needs in their community. of those, there are plenty here on this list.
if you haven't yet set up an account for yourself on the new
Digital Divid Network web site, do head over there. it takes
just a minute or two. you can do so at http://www.digitaldivide.net/members/add.php
if you fill in your profile, or provide a link to existing information about your work and interests (or both), you'll be able to connect with an ever growing number of members in the DDN community.
we already know you're distinguished. help the rest of the world learn that, too.
