Hi Geeta and others,

I guess our initiative, the Campus for Peace (www.campusforpeace.org) is quite
interesting. At least, we're pretty proud of it ;)

The Campus for Peace is the cooperation for development programme of the Open
University of Catalonia (UOC - www.uoc.edu)
One of the Campus for Peace's aim is to train NGOs to build their own e-learning
courses, be it for advocacy, to NGO staff training or focused to e-learning for
development in underdeveloped countries.

To do this, we are usually based on three main pillars:
- free content, usually supplied by the University, but sometimes by the NGOs or
found in the Net and free to use
- free e-learning platform, normally the University's but, why not, F/OSS
applications such as Moodle or Claroline
- free human resources, say online volunteers, who may come from within the
university's community or elsewhere

I try to keep record of initiatives like this in my personal blog:
www.ICTlogy.net

Hope it helped and luck with the research :))
