It may be of interest to the members of this group that a discussion has
broken out on the H-Net based EDTECH discussion group regarding freeware
and free services on the internet.  Since much of the continued existence
of a digital divide is driven by a lack of funding and funds, freeware may
coordinate well with other resource provision to provide meaningful
access to computers and the internet for those with no access or limited
access to computers and the internet.
