I am sharing this post with this list as care of vision is an important factor in facilitating use of the internet and related technologies. To the extent that vision care and protection are not on the map, to that extent use of computers and the internet are made more difficult when people become blind or visully impaired. People who are not healthy in general, and in particular those who suffer hearing or visual impairments will not have the quality level of experience in using the internet as those with those senses and general good health. Hence a serious part of reduction of the digital divide may include returning people to health and of course prevention of the development of serious health problems in general and hearing and visual problems in particular.
