hi DDN members -

a friend of mine in DC has many talents and has volunteered his
time in countless ways around town. i suggested he set up an
account on the new Digital Divide Network web site.

although he has many talents, i know he'll be daunted in filling
in his profile on the DDN site. so i'll be helping him do that by
telephone this weekend. i type fast and we'll be able to spend a
few minutes talking thru his background and interests while i'm
typing.

i'll send him the email with his profile, which he can copy and
paste into his profile on the DDN site.

writing about oneself is never easy. it's often easier to do
while consulting with a friend.

one of the themes of the DDN site is finding new ways to
break down barriers. help your friends and colleagues
break down the barrier about writing about themselves on
the DDN site. give them permission to say something
positive about themselves.

our social existence is defined by the permissions we give
each other.

                    - phil
