BitTorrent May Prove Too Good to Quash

There is a fundamental problem with Torrent file-sharing. That is there is a central point at which the torrent file information is held. As a consequence a succesfull attack on that central hub can severely damage the stucture.

There is no need to attack the client software (like BitTorrent).

This happened recently when suprnova.org (one of the largest and most succesful Torrent hubs) was forced to shut down.

The response of the suprnova community was a new file sharing system that removes the need for a central hub and therefore cannot be shutdown in the same way. It's also ad and spyware free.
