hi DDN community -

this evening i was struck by the quality of people on the DDN web
site. when you get a chance, check out the life path and
experiences of njideka ugwuegbu harry, from nigeria. (now living
and working in the united states.)

use njideka's profile as a springboard to share some of the
stories of your life journey in your DDN profile. it's fine to
keep the stories very brief. if you haven't registered for an
account on the DDN site, you can do so at
http://www.digitaldivide.net

by sharing your stories you help forge new connections in our
community.

as an example, on my profile i mentioned briefly that i got
started in my career as an educator when i was tutoring at the
east harlem tutorial program (EHTP) in the 1970's. nettrice
gaskins, a national leader in the community technology
movement, spotted that and sent me an email saying she worked
as the director of education at EHTP in the late 1990's. i
have fond memories of EHTP and of all people associated with
that organization.

a story told, a new bond is formed.

i honestly don't know what prompted me to write about EHTP on
my DDN profile. i didn't know then, but i do know now.
personal stories are weaving material.

               - phil
