hi DDN community -
for those of you filling in your DDN profile, here's a neat little
trick to make the process easier. start off writing in a formal way
about your background and interests. by the time you reach the 3rd
paragraph, you'll be veering towards a more informal description of
your background and interests.
use cut-and-paste to place that 3rd (or 4th) paragraph at the top
of your DDN profile. you'll sound a lot warmer (friendlier) that
way.
or if you're very astute, start right off the bat describing your
background and interests in an informal way. formality has its
place, but it sometimes interferes with the creation of human
bonds. DDN profiles can be a great connecting tool. time spent
working on your profile is time well spent.
