While I was looking into things to write a more involved article than my
brief weblog entry ( http://www.knowprose.com/node/1327 ), I did find
that Mozilla 1.7's hardware standards are on par for older machines
(http://www.mozillastore.com/a/requirements ), and allow people with
older machines (Pentium 233 MHz, 64 MB RAM, 26 MB hard drive space -
ref: http://www.mozillastore.com/a/requirements ) to surf to modern
sites that conform to modern standards.

I'm glad you and Todd brought all of this up. While LTSP and other Linux
projects deal with elder systems quite well, there is a web browser that
does enable community.
