In response to Dr. Gurstein's message, I would like to tell the group about my work with the ICT and the elderly.Almost seven years ago I initiated and started The Intergenerational Programme: Preserving Heritage in a Technological Society, in one school in Israel. By now over 500 hundred schools are in the programme. In this programme children ages 10-16 tutor senior citizens at computer and internet skills and in return listen to a chapter from the seniors life history: together they scan albums, letters, artifacts, pictures etc and search the web and in libraries. The digital chapter written by the two is then uploaded to the internet. My work has been cited in various sites on the internet. By now I have written a proposal for further developing the programme and enlarging its scope outside Israel, as well. I am planning on coming to the States in July or August for a couple of months and would love to meet with colleagues .
