The relevance to Digital Divide discussion is not technical as much as it is a 'use of technology' issue, and reflects the reality around the world. Political control and governmental control could be seen as separate issues, but a Free Press is not separate from either. When enabling people to use technology, are we educating them about these issues as well? If not, shouldn't we be?Or do we hope that they don't make the same mistakes that we make, and continue to make? I don't know, but I think it's worth kicking around a bit because I'm pretty sure nobody else knows either. -- Taran Rampersad Presently in: Panama City, Panama [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.knowprose.com http://www.easylum.net http://www.digitaldivide.net/profile/Taran "Criticize by creating." — Michelangelo _______________________________________________ DIGITALDIVIDE mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.edc.org/mailman/listinfo/digitaldivide To unsubscribe, send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word UNSUBSCRIBE in the body of the message.
