hi digital divide network people -
in honor of their 10th anniversary, amazon.com is having a wish list
spree. two people will have everything on their amazon.com wish
list (up to $5,000) sent to them. 10 people will have up to $1,000
of items sent to them. 10 people will receive amazon.com gift
certificates of $500.
to enter this contest you need to create a new amazon.com wish list
(even if you already have one. it's possible to have multiple
amazon.com wish lists.)
in addition to the 200 or so books i currently have on my
amazon.com wish list, i threw in a dual processor G5 mac and a new
powerbook onto the newly created wish list i made this morning.
admittedly, amazon.com does have a large number of customers.
only a small number of these customers know or care about
creating a wish list. this "shopping spree" contest is open
from july 7 to july 16. i would not expect a large number of
people will be entering this contest.
even me, as a geek, found it confusing that i needed to create a new wish
list to enter the contest.
here is hoping that we'll have one or more people from the DDN
community as one of the 22 winners.
