Hi, Ami my name is Daniela and I am a researcher at School of the Future of University of São Paulo (www.futuro.usp.br <http://www.futuro.usp.br>), which works with the project Acessa São Paulo (www.acessasaopaulo.sp.gov.br/<http://www.acessasaopaulo.sp.gov.br/>), the digital inclusion program of the State of São Paulo, in Brazil. Acessa has, nowadays, more than 500 thousand registered users and 200 centers. Here, at the Laboratory of Digital Inclusion and Community Education, one of our main projects is to research the impact of the program on the targeted communities. We have been doing a very complete and detailed survey with telecentres users for 3 years now, and we have very interesting information. Unfortunately, it is not translated to English yet, but if you want to have a look at the Portuguese version, you can find the results at http://www.ponlines.futuro.usp.br/ under the tag "Resultados" There you will find reports about the surveys tha we have done, including one called Information Needs Research (Pesquisa de Necessidades Informacionais), that was carried out in the communities *before* the telecenters were installed.
