Dear Andy et al,
I'm currently using Asterisk and CivicSpace/Drupal to create a little
voicemail/moblog system for children and youth from underserved areas.
The system is still in its very early stages, but I'm pretty happy with
the feedback that I'm getting from the kids I'm working with in Lawrence
(MA). I'm going to have something more concrete about the system in 2
months or so and would love to get feedback from you and others from the
list. Asterisk has a lot of potential...

This machine would act like a fancy answering machine that could upload
mp3 files to other servers with more bandwidth to podcast files around the
globe.

ac: Like you have to ask. :-) I think it's high time for me to set up a new DDN
community on mobcasting, so we can have a workspace with its own bulletin board
thread and other features. I can also set up another list in case we need to
have a small group of us chatting among ourselves. Any chance we could chat
tomorrow? Email me off-list.
