The resource for managers of volunteers involved in Hurricane Katrina-related efforts is ever-growing at www.volunteertoday.com, and even FEMA has now been in contact with the organizers to find an experienced volunteer manager ready for immediate placement in one site -- and this request was filled immediately, thanks to the organizers' database which they are calling "Manager of Volunteers Respite Corps," a list of such volunteer managers, with the experience and resources needed for immediate placement.

For any managers of volunteers who are involved in Hurricane Katrina efforts and are overwhelmed, needing assistance from other volunteer managers, or needing replacements for such managers running on empty, please visit www.volunteertoday.com and contact the site manager -- they can help take care of your needs immediately. Please forward this email to anyone who might need experienced volunteer managers (this includes people with experience in tech-related initiatives -- and if you have such specialized experience and can help, visit the site as well and contact the organizers).

This database of resources for volunteer managers in disaster-relief-recovery efforts is an entirely volunteer effort, with contributions by volunteer managers all over the USA and Canada. It's being managed by Nancy MacDuff.
