lawrence lessig, a noted book author and law professor at stanford
university, recently joined the DDN web site.

a person of his stature might adopt the attitude, "i support the
Digital Divide Network, but i really don't have time to set up an
account on their web site." he didn't. he adopted a "count me in"
attitude.
a mentor of mine once explained to me the importance of showing up.
"the first step is showing up. all other steps follow from that."
i applaud lessig's "count me in" attitude. he has earned the respect
of many for his tireless work.

register for a free account on the DDN web site, please take a moment to
do so. in this boat we're sailing in, we need as many people as possible
with oars in their hands -- even if they're not rowing. just sitting
there with an oar in your hand brings value to the web site.
