for those who might be interested, a new moderated email list for
persons interested in creating video and multimedia for the not-a-video
ipod has been started. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/notavideoipod/
if you're interested in this topic, but don't want to join the list,
you can subscribe to the rss feed for the list using the XML icon at
the bottom right of the list's web page.
as i calculate it, narrated multimedia slideshows for this device use
up about one megabyte per minute of slideshow. that would allow you
to place about 450 hours of multimedia slideshows on the 30 gigabyte
ipod, and 900 hours of multimedia slideshows on the 60 gigabyte ipod.
these and other topics will be explored on this email list.
