hi everyone -
the inventiondb.com web site is a very interesting project. these folks are
now giving away a new ipod to one of the people who starts a new invention
project on their web site.
it's useful to note that the word "invention" is defined quite broadly on
this web site. as best as i can tell, any cool hardware kind of project can meet
the definition of invention on this web site.

Gauri Nanda Wins Ig Nobel Prize for Clocky
Congratulations to Gauri Nanda for winning an Ig Nobel Prize for her
invention, Clocky! The Ig Nobel homepage states "Every Ig Nobel Prize
winner has done something that first makes people LAUGH, then makes
them THINK." Clocky, an alarm clock that rings and runs away, will
help you wake up because you have to chase it to hit the snooze button!

The Contest: Create an project entry page for your project using
InventionDB's free project blogging features. Our judging panel will
award a new 30 gig iPod w/video to the best project submission based
on the criteria described below. The goal is to reward the best
project entry, not necessarily the best project. In other words, we
are looking for a really well documented project entry rather than a
groundbreaking project concept. This is consistent with InventionDB's
goal to be a great project documentation tool.
About InventionDB.com: InventionDB is a free online database where
designers, engineers, artists and craftspeople can document projects,
build portfolios, and share resource information with the creative
community.
We'll judge entries by:
1) Quality of documentation.
2) Novelty of connected resources.
3) Uniqueness of project.
Project entries must include:
- Name, tagline and description.
- 3 photos or images (minimum).
- 3 connected resources (minimum).
The Dates:
