Dear Teachers, Students, and Adventure Seekers!

Hi, I'm Blue Zones explorer, Dan Buettner!

You might remember me from my past online expeditions - MayaQuest and
GalapagosQuest. More recently my Quest team and I traveled to Okinawa,
Japan in search of the secrets to longevity.

Now, in cooperation with Global SchoolNet Foundation and the International
Trachoma Initiative, we'll explore the other extreme.

You are invited to join our trek to Ghana from January 23 - 27, 2006 and
investigate why this West African nation suffers such a short life
expectancy.

In Okinawa, a newborn baby is expected to live 86 years. But in Ghana the
same child is only expected to live 56 years-30 years less! Why is that? Is
it poor diet, unhealthy lifestyle, or lack of social support?

Let's search for answers together! Each day, we'll post a Daily Dispatch
live from Ghana at www.bluezones.com. Classrooms can vote to direct our
AfricaQuest Expedition, as well as email experts and the team. Questions and
answers will be posted to the Website for everyone to enjoy and learn from.

Register now to direct the team at www.bluezones.com

Best of all - registration is free!

But, hurry - we are starting our expedition next week!

Live Large!
Dan
