WRT to the phone companies tiering the Internet and charging
respectively: I think that technological innovations and partnerships
between ISPs, and/or telcos, software providers, wireless providers,
blackberry types, skype types - and now my brand new company called
Phone.com will be able to subvert traditional Internet or telephony
channels to provide service wherever the major telcos fall short. So
far the major telcos have provided horrible monopolistic services for
decades, its hard to believe they can do much worse.
