Um... how effective is an *online* campaign going to be, when the school won't even see it because of the content? Is an online campaign going to reach the people it needs to, or, will it be oh-so-easy to ignore in this particular case?

I address this question in the full blog entry, which I didn't include in the email for the sake of brevity. Meanwhile, Wesley Fryer posts a direct response to my question on my blog, "How do you spread a campaign when the very act of describing the campaign gets you censored?"

His reply can be found here:

http://www.speedofcreativity.org/2006/04/18/f2f-conversations-and-dialog-as-the-answer/

His premise:

"I think the answer is simple, however. We address this situation through face to face conversations and dialog with other educators."

I've also started to hear from educators who have confirmed that my blog, www.andycarvin.com is blocked in their districts. For those of you who are accessing the Internet in a US school, I have a favor to ask. Could you try going to my blog and seeing if it's filtered as well? If it is filtered, please email me offlist, and let me know if it says why it was filtered. If it's not filtered, no need to reply.

thanks,
ac
