Hi DDN,
Many of you know that over the last year I've been working to develop
the International Peace Tiles project as a way to engage youth around
the world in exploration of issues that impact their lives through
art. The idea is that young people can create and exchange works of
art that can be used to create murals in their schools and
communities. By creating connections online at http://
www.peacetiles.net young people can share about themselves via a free
blog, meet others, and arrange to "swap" their tiles.
This year, I really love to engage more American classrooms in World
AIDS Day (December 1, 2006) activities. I am in the process of
writing a classroom guide that will make it really easy to integrate
a look at global AIDS as a curriculum module, lasting from one
afternoon to a full week.
In the meantime, I wonder if you would take a look at http://
www.peacetiles.net and let me know what you think: is it easy to use,
instructive, and engaging? How can it be improved?
Many thanks in advance for your thoughts,
lars
