Hi Folks --

One of the things I'd like to begin experimenting with at www.peacetiles.net is "live trainings" for teachers, as well as "simultaneous classes." The idea is to use video streaming to link trainers to new groups, and to enable classrooms to co-host arts education workshops. Here is a little more detail around what I am envisioning:

- Devolve expertise to the edges. I don't want to be the only person who "knows how to run a successful peacetiles workshop." Instead, I'd like every experienced member in the network to be a potential node in a virtual training network. To do this, my primary tool would be interactive video sessions where up to a half dozen people can interact, learning tips and tricks, while getting answers to questions. What is the best, low cost, and cross-platform way to do this?

- Connect classrooms realtime. As I think I mentioned earlier, one of the major pushes of the peacetiles project this year will be to get into classrooms as a resource. As youth explore an issues that impacts their community, I'd like them to have access to other communities exploring similar questions, in a different context. I thought that having structured opportunities to share some of the dynamics driving the issue where they live, while sharing their tile- making experience would be alot of fun. So this is the "co-hosting" of art education workshops. Again, I am wondering what is the best, low cost, and cross-platform way to do this?

Many thanks!
