Computers for Youth is accepting nominations from software developers for
educational software titles for its 2007 Family Learning Software Award.
Deadline for submissions is September 29th.

The CFY Family Learning Software Award will be presented at the 2nd Annual
Computers for Youth Tech Awards Night Ceremony in April 2007. The nomination
process provides software developers with SIGNIFICANT VISIBILITY AND
EXPOSURE - to an important and hard-to-reach demographic:

- MEET THE BUYERS: Top nominated software products will be reviewed by a
panel including "Ed Tech" executives from the nation's most prominent school
districts (e.g., NYC, Los Angeles, and Chicago.) These school districts are
responsible for software purchases of over $5 billion annually and
collectively serve more than 10% of America's schoolchildren.

- MEET THE PLAYERS: Join us at the Award ceremony in April where students
will demonstrate the final five software products to more than 200
executives from the software and technology industries. Share the spotlight
with digital leaders from around the country. Last year's winners were
honored alongside the CEO of AOL and the CIO of Bell South.

- MEET THE USERS: Our Student Software Specialist Team, which consists of
inner-city, middle school students from low-income neighborhoods, will test
your product, review it, and pass along their recommendations for who should
be the 2007 Family Learning Software Award recipient.

Please forward this posting widely to software developers. If you have
questions, please contact Kallen Tsikalas at 212-563-7300 or

About Computers for Youth
---------------------------
Computers for Youth (CFY) is a 501(c)3 non-profit that helps underserved
children succeed in school by improving their learning environment at home.
CFY partners with public schools in low-income neighborhoods and offers all
sixth grade families a computer designed by CFY to be used as a family
learning center with educational software, tailored web content, and
Internet access. Every participating family attends an interactive,
half-day training, and then receives ongoing technical support. CFY also
works at the school level, coordinating parent workshops and training
teachers how to use home technology to improve student performance. CFY is
one of the largest non-profits of its kind, serving thousands of families
each year. Its comprehensive program supports parents as learning partners,
opens educational opportunities, and reduces the learning gap between
low-income children and their more affluent peers.
