CALL FOR APPLICANTS:

Community Technology Center Network (CTCNet) Executive Director


CTCNet seeks a dynamic, experienced and organized person to lead the
strategic direction of this national nonprofit organization, an affiliation
of more than 1000 community technology centers working across the United
States to promote technology access and community revitalization.  The
Executive Director is responsible for the overall development, organization
and administration of CTCNet's programs and its fiscal health.  This
position reports to CTCNet's Board of Directors.  CTCNet maintains offices
in Washington, DC.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

Initiating and maintaining strong communications and relationships with
funders, government agencies and policy makers.

Working to develop strategic partnerships with the private sector, public
educational institutions, and other agencies particularly on topics relating
to community technology.

Collaborating in proposal development.

Overseeing the management of member services during CTCnet  events (e.g.,
conferences, Leadership Development Institutes).

General public education via speaking engagements.

Overseeing general bookkeeping activities(e.g., reviewing and approving
contracts, preparation of financial statements, approving project budgets).

Providing leadership in the conceptualization and overall direction of
CTCNet's services in collaboration with the Board of Directors and staff.

Guiding staff in the marketing of CTCNet services.

Maintaining ongoing communications with the Board.

Decision-making on financial development, accounting, & recruiting and
supervising staff and volunteers.

Developing and implementing annual and long range goals and objectives in
collaboration with Board of Directors and staff.

Provide leadership in the conceptualization and overall direction of
CTCNet's position as it relates to federal policy.

Develop new projects to support the work of community technology centers
nationally.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Masters degree or equivalent experience required.

At least five years experience with nonprofit management.

Detail-oriented, flexible and able to manage changing, deadline environment.

Possess initiative, self-direction, team management and facilitation skills,
and a sense of humor.

Fundraising experience.

SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
