Grassroots.org prefers groups of students to work on one domain. A Grassroots.org staff is designated as the primary contact for the students and faculty. Partner institution confirms with Grassroots.org staff that the domain is still available to be developed. University students at partner institutions propose a focus for the domain, a strategy for obtaining the content and an expected completion date. Grassroots provides feedback to the students regarding their focus and strategy. The students develop the site's content. Students do not need to have web development skills. Content is written by the students and placed into the webpage by Grassroots.org. Relying only upon a domain name, a domain's intent may be ambiguous, thus the need to focus each domain. Grassroots.org encourages strategies that utilize expert organizations in the field and engage readers in the issue. Grassroots.org encourages creatively involving the expert partner organizations. Content Each site will contain: * a summary description of the issue, * linked sites of organizations who can provide additional information regarding the issue, and * recognition of the institution, program/department and students developing the content. Students will also be featured in the Grassroots.org newsletter and online Volunteer of the Month profiles.
