Yes, it's from DOS times. Many modern editors still use it for
line deletion.
I've reassigned delete line shortcut to Ctrl+D and Ctrl+L
Redo now can be done using Ctrl+Y or Ctrl+Shift+Z
BTW, toolbar button tooltips were implemented today.
