Interesting piece.
As part of the conclusion, it says:
"Some of the people helming the evolution of D are working on
changing this, and it is my hope that an improved D will emerge
in the not-too-distant future."
I found this a little vague. It might have been useful to briefly
discuss what types of things would help fix these issues or what
specifically people are working on (even with just a few links or
a footnote).
