To be pragmatic, maybe D meets can be accommodated by larger
local events (ACM, IEEE, ARRL, ...). Feel free to contact me
via tc-ieee-cs.org. Maybe we organize something within the
IEEE Computer Society.
The Redmond Coffee Haus started up as some of us D people going
out for a snack after the NWCPP.org meeting.
I'll add it can be useful for folks to give D talks at really any
programming event that's open to it. I gave a talk at the New
Jersey Programming Language Symposium, Fosdem, a teaching
workshop, etc. Great way to figure out locally who might want to
meetup.
