It's an informal online D community meetup that happens usually on the last weekend of each month.
Every year we have a real-world conference called DConf. Every evening at DConf, there's a designated spot for everyone to hang out and chat, usually a hotel lobby or pub. A lot of folks drink beer during these gatherings, so we started calling them 'BeerConf'. We didn't have DConf during the pandemic, so a couple of folks decided to set up an online version of BeerConf to still have a way to meetup. It ended up becoming a monthly event that has continued ever since.
