Hello, I am trying to write code that will be called by my own boot loader, and as such, my code is based directly at the memory address of 1 MB. Everything works fine, until I need to use a pointer -- if I do, I must first increment it by 1 MB before using it, because all pointers are addressed relative to the program's base.
The N part of the linker's /Binary:N switch seems to be the solution to what I need, but the problem is that, before rebasing the executable, it first *delete*s the first N bytes... and so it's not really usable, since it deletes my code. Is that by design? And how can I re-base my binary executable *without* deleting part of it? Thank you!
