Yes, you're right.
And that is inevitable side-effect of parameter type inference.

Walter answered about the decision in
https://github.com/D-Programming-Language/dmd/pull/588 .

So this issue should be marked as 'resolved-invalid' or 'resolved-wontfix',
IMO.
