There are a number of unknown fields in the mars.h (struct Params) that are
only commented with:

Likewise in GDC, we have some of our own additions to this struct that are not
in use by DMD or LDC, so I suggest that a new backend specific structure (eg:
struct Compiler) that is both unused and transparent to the frontend should
replace this.
This would contribute to making the frontend code shared among DMD, GDC, and
LDC.
