I wanted to use OpenSSL from D but I noticed that the Deimos

for the latest version, or an alternative that I could use? I
know I could use std.digest for SHA512, but I still need a
secure random number generator.
What's the problem? According to the OpenSSL changelog, SHA-512
was added in v0.9.8.
Just in case that isn't clear, what Vladimir is pointing out is
that unless you need a feature from the new versions – or OpenSSL
breaks binary compatibility, which is unlikely to happen anytime
soon – the old headers will work just fine.
